Terms of Engagement

By enrolling in any program at ILCL, students and their parents or guardians agree to the terms outlined in this document. Please read carefully before enrolling. If you have any questions, contact us at info@ilclsrilanka.lk or via WhatsApp at +94 74 054 4113.

1. About ILCL

ILCL Lanka (Private) Limited (trading as the International Institute for Language and Creative Learning, or ILCL) is a private educational institute based at 9A, Mayfield Road, Colombo 13, Sri Lanka. ILCL provides private tutoring, language instruction, exam preparation, and academic mentoring services for students aged 8 and above.

2. Enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and written or verbal confirmation from ILCL. By enrolling, students and their parents or guardians agree to these Terms of Engagement in full.

ILCL reserves the right to decline or defer enrollment at its discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

3. Fees and Payment

Fees vary depending on the program, session format (individual or group), and frequency. Fee structures are communicated to students and parents at the time of enrollment.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Students may cancel or reschedule individual sessions at any time, including on the same day, by notifying ILCL via WhatsApp or email. Cancelled sessions will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed time.

Fees already paid are non-refundable but will be applied to the rescheduled session. Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.

If ILCL cancels a session due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be rescheduled at no additional charge.

5. Notice Period for Ending Enrollment

Students wishing to discontinue their enrollment must notify ILCL in writing via email or WhatsApp. The required notice period varies by program and will be communicated at the time of enrollment.

Failure to provide the required notice may result in fees being payable for the notice period, regardless of attendance.

ILCL is committed to maintaining a respectful, focused, and productive learning environment. All students are expected to:

7. Termination of Enrollment by ILCL

ILCL reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment under the following circumstances:

In the event of termination by ILCL, any prepaid fees for sessions not yet delivered will be refunded at ILCL’s discretion.

8. Photography and Recording

ILCL may photograph or record sessions, events, and activities for use in marketing and promotional materials, including on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

By enrolling, students and their parents or guardians consent to ILCL using photographs and recordings in which the student may appear, for the purposes described above. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing at the time of enrollment.

9. Online Sessions

ILCL offers online sessions via video conferencing for students who are unable to attend in person. The same terms, code of conduct, and fee arrangements apply to online sessions as to in-person sessions.

Students are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and suitable environment for online learning. Technical difficulties on the student’s end do not constitute grounds for rescheduling or refund.

10. Intellectual Property

All study materials, notes, past paper resources, and content produced by ILCL remain the intellectual property of ILCL Lanka (Private) Limited Students may use these materials for personal study only. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of ILCL materials without written permission is strictly prohibited.

11. Limitation of Liability

ILCL is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and support. However, ILCL cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes, examination results, or grades. Results depend on a range of factors including individual student effort, attendance, and aptitude.

ILCL’s liability in any dispute shall be limited to the fees paid by the student for the relevant program.

12. Complaints and Disputes

We will acknowledge all complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 7 working days.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Engagement are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

14. Changes to These Terms

ILCL reserves the right to update these Terms of Engagement at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued enrollment following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
